The University of Minnesota is fast-tracking its review process for research proposals around preventing and treating the novel coronavirus, converting biotechnological labs to process testing kits and ramping up a number of drug trials as the outbreak progresses.

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Tim Schacker, vice dean for research at the University’s Medical School, about those efforts.
