In Duluth, restoring St. Louis River means dredging up the past
Crews are preparing to remove tons of wood waste, left over from Duluth’s 1890s-era logging boom, that’s now clogging part of the St. Louis River estuary. It’s part of a decades-long effort to clean up industrial pollution in the headwaters of Lake Superior.
