Southern Minnesota House District 18A’s history of flip-flopping attracts lots of outside funding 
With a recent history of voting Republican during presidential elections and Democrat in the midterms, District 18A is attracting a lot of attention in the 2024 election. GOP hopeful Erica Schwartz is looking to unseat incumbent DFL Rep. Jeff Brand. He has won the seat twice with a loss in between.
Stauber, Schultz clash in only debate in 8th Congressional District race
In a 40-minute televised debate, incumbent GOP U.S. Rep. Pete Stauber attempted to tie his Democratic opponent, Jen Schultz, to what he called the “failed, far-left” politics of the Biden administration. Schultz criticized Stauber for not accomplishing more for the district in his six years in office.
In divided St. Cloud, challengers hope to flip House seats
While many legislative districts in Minnesota are either solidly Republican or DFL, in the St. Cloud, voters are evenly split. Races for the two House seats that represent the region are among the most competitive in the state. 
Ramsey has four municipal races: City Council Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 4 and At Large.
Fergus Falls has five municipal races: Mayor, City Council Ward 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Stillwater has two municipal races: council member Ward 2 and Ward 3.
Owatonna has four municipal races: Mayor, City Council Ward 2, Ward 4 and At Large.
Baytown Township has three municipal races: town supervisor seats 1, 2 and 5.
Red Wing has four municipal races: mayor and council member Ward 1, Ward 2, Wards 3 & 4.
Waseca has four municipal races: mayor, council member Ward 1, Ward 2 and Ward 3.
