Hockey clears House hurdle

Minnesotan breeds Kentucky Derby contender
The most famous horse race of all, the Kentucky Derby, will be run on Saturday. One of the favorites is a horse named Big Brown, who was bred by Gary Knapp -- a native of Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Minnesota Wild tied 2-2 in playoff series
The Minnesota Wild return to the Xcel Energy Center Thursday night with their best-of-seven playoff series against Colorado tied at two games each. The Wild lost to the Avalanche 5-1 Tuesday night in Denver.
The Running Aces Harness Park is opening this Friday in Columbus, Minnesota just northeast of the Twin Cities. The new park will feature harness racing, which horses pull their drivers behind them in a small cart called a sulky.
