La Feria Estatal de Minnesota abrirá sus puertas muy pronto. Si quieres tener una experiencia inolvidable, disfrutar de todo lo que la feria ofrece y cuidar tu bolsillo, entonces has venido al lugar correcto.

Te presentamos todo lo que necesitas saber para aprovechar al máximo tu visita:

¿Cuándo es la Feria Estatal de Minnesota? 

La Gran Reunión de Minnesota se llevará a cabo del 22 de agosto al 2 de septiembre (Día del Trabajo) y puedes ingresar desde las 7 a. m. hasta las 9 p. m. todos los días. El recinto ferial estará abierto hasta las 11 p.m. todos los días excepto el Día del Trabajo, donde las puertas cerrarán a las 7 p. m. y el recinto cerrará a las 9 p. m.

Boletos para la Feria Estatal 

Admisión general

Puedes comprar boletos de admisión con descuento por $15 en línea o llamando a Etix al 1-800-514-3849 hasta el 21 de agosto, en la taquilla del recinto ferial, en los supermercados Cub participantes y en varios lugares en Minnesota y Hudson, Wisconsin, solo hasta el 21 de agosto y sujeto a disponibilidad. Podrás guardar tus boletos en tu teléfono, imprimirlos e incluso recibirlos por correo en tu casa por una tarifa adicional.

El precio normal de los boletos es de $18 para adultos, $16 para personas mayores (+65) y niños (5-12) y gratis para niños menores de 4 años, con excepciones para ciertos grupos en los “días de descuento”. También puedes comprar entradas en línea de 6 a. m. a 8 p. m. (el límite son 12 boletos por pedido).

Los boletos comprados con anticipación no son reembolsables.

Boletos Grandstand

Estos boletos te permitirán acceder a los grandes espectáculos de tribuna de la feria, pero igual deberás comprar un boleto de admisión general para ingresar al recinto ferial. Puedes obtener boletos en el sitio web de Etix o llamarlos al 1-800-514-3849. 

El único concierto que está prácticamente agotado a una semana antes de la feria es Ludacris & T-Pain. Algunos asientos con vista limitada aún están disponibles y se pueden adquirir llamando a Etix.

Boletos para juegos y atracciones

Este año, la feria está agregando dos nuevas atracciones a la zona Mighty Midway: “The Kraken”, descrita como una atracción pendular de 80 pies de altura, y “The Defender”, una atracción de hélice.

Al igual que el año pasado, necesitarás una tarjeta Fun Card para guardar todos los boletos comprados y utilizarlos en las atracciones Midway y Kidway. Subirse a una atracción cuesta en promedio seis boletos. Puedes cargar tu tarjeta con tantos boletos como quieras, pero recuerda usarlos todos, ya que vencerán al final de la Feria Estatal. No olvides planificar con anticipación.

Ten en cuenta que algunas atracciones clásicas, como “Ye Old Mill”, “Space Tower”, “Skyride“ y “Butterfly House“, no aceptan créditos de tarjetas Fun Card, solo dinero en efectivo o tarjetas de débito/crédito.

¿Cómo llegar a la feria estatal?

Manejando

Si llegas en auto (no en RV), la Feria Estatal ofrece estacionamiento limitado por orden de llegada a $20 (en efectivo o tarjeta). Estos estacionamientos abren a las 6 a. m. y se llenan rápidamente todos los días. No se permite estacionar durante la noche. Si abandonas la feria, podrías perder tu estacionamiento y tendrás que volver a pagar.

En bicicleta

Si prefieres ir a la feria en bicicleta o scooter sin licencia, puedes estacionar en los corrales para bicicletas, que son áreas cercadas y monitoreadas por un miembro del personal.

Se encuentran en:

  • Lote de bicicletas del sur: Loop Gate (#9) en Como Avenue

  • Lote de bicicletas del norte: Puerta de North End (#2)

  • Lote de bicicletas del oeste: Randall Ave-Buford Gate (#16)

El estacionamiento de bicicletas es gratuito, a menos que el vehículo tenga matrícula (como un scooter con licencia), en cuyo caso el estacionamiento cuesta $15.

Si deseas estacionar una motocicleta, puedes hacerlo en los estacionamientos de la Feria Estatal por $20 o en el estacionamiento para motocicletas de Como Avenue, cerca del Instituto Internacional, por $15. El estacionamiento de motos abre a las 6 a.m.

Transporte público

Autobuses expresos

Si vives en las Ciudades Gemelas, una forma ingeniosa y accesible de llegar a la Feria Estatal es a través de autobuses expresos operados por Metro Transit, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA) y SouthWest Transit. El embarque y recojo se realizará en el State Fair Transit Hub ubicado en la Puerta No. 16.

Los autobuses expresos cuentan con estacionamiento gratuito y accesible dentro del área metropolitana de las Ciudades Gemelas. Además del embarque en Blaine, Bloomington, Cottage Grove y Minnetonka, este año se está agregando rutas desde Maplewood y Maple Grove.

Para las personas que viven en el área metropolitana sur, la MVTA ofrece estacionamiento gratuito y servicio de autobús directo desde Eagan, Shakopee y Burnsville.

Asimismo este año, el servicio de autobús de SouthWest Transit que va desde Chanhassen, Chaska y Eden Prairie agregará una ruta desde Carver.

Taxis y taxis por aplicativo

¿Piensas pedir un viaje en Uber, Lyft u otro taxi de aplicativo? La Feria Estatal ofrece dos puntos designados para dejar y recoger pasajeros en el extremo noreste del recinto ferial, ubicado fuera de la Puerta No. 2 de North End y en el extremo sur del recinto ferial, ubicado en el estacionamiento frente a la Puerta No. 7 y el Edificio de Lácteos o “Dairy Building”.

Taxis 

Si prefieres que un taxi regular te deje o recoja, el espacio designado para taxis se encuentra en Loop Gate No. 9 en Como Avenue, en el lado sur del recinto ferial.

Sistema de ‘park and ride’ 

Si prefiere evitar estacionarse en el recinto ferial, puede estacionar en los espacios públicos cercanos y ser movilizado por los autobuses de la Feria Estatal de forma gratuita. Este año, el servicio de transporte gratuito llegará a 31 lotes cercanos. Encuentre más información en su sitio web.

10 cosas que debes llevar contigo

1) Zapatos cómodos

Si quieres pasear por el recinto ferial y disfrutar de la feria todo el día, debes asegurarte de llevar un buen calzado. Se recomienda encarecidamente llevar calzado suave y cómodo para caminar.

2) Agua

Ahorra dinero en bebidas trayendo tu propia botella de agua recargable, jarra o cualquier líquido hidratante. Hay 20 fuentes de agua y estaciones de recarga en todo el recinto ferial. Te presentamos una lista de lugares donde puedes encontrarlos y un mapa:

3) Cargador portátil

Hay algunos lugares que ofrecen estaciones de carga gratuitas (como el Renewal por Andersen y KSTP TV), pero es mejor tener como cargar tu teléfono, especialmente si planeas pasar todo el día en la feria.

4) Un mapa

Sabemos que suena un poco anticuado, pero los mapas, ya sean impresos o digitales, pueden ahorrarte tiempo y a navegar mejor por el recinto ferial.

5) Cosas de verano

6) Dinero en efectivo

No todos los vendedores o atracciones aceptan tarjetas. Ahorrate las tarifas adicionales y las largas colas en el cajero automático y lleva algo de efectivo

7) Alcohol en gel

Considera llevar desinfectante para mantener tus manos limpias entre todas las cosas que comerás.

8) Servilletas o paños húmedos

Y en caso de que te ensucies con la comida, tener algo a la mano para limpiar los restos del nuevo aderezo ranch frito, también es una buena idea.

9) Mochila, bolso o canguro

Ten un lugar para llevar artículos importantes como tu teléfono, billetera, llaves y todos lo mencionado anteriormente. De lo contrario, tus cosas valiosas pueden “perderse” al disfrutar de atracciones como el SkyGlider.

Se permite llevar mochilas, bolsas y hieleras al recinto ferial, pero están sujetas a registro. La feria no tinee casilleros ni almacenamiento de bolsos.

10) Un plan

Con docenas de stands, conciertos, comidas y bebidas para elegir, te recomendamos hacer una lista de prioridades y un plan sobre dónde ir y cómo llegar.

Este año, la Feria Estatal de Minnesota está lanzando una aplicación para celular con mapas, horarios, un buscador de comimda y más. Puedes encontrarlo en App Store y Google Play Store.

5 cosas que no puedes llevar al recinto ferial 

El control de seguridad de la feria incluye detectores de metales en todas las puertas de entrada. Los bolsos, carteras, hieleras y paquetes estarán sujetos a registro. Lee la lista completa de artículos prohibidos en el sitio web de la feria (en inglés).

1) Mascotas

No se permiten mascotas en el recinto ferial, a excepción de perros de servicio o animales aprobados parte de una exposición. No se permiten animales de apoyo emocional.

2) Drogas or alcohol

No se puede traer ni consumir alcohol, cannabis ni ninguna sustancia ilegal. 

3) Palos para selfies, drones o grabar presentaciones

Los palos para selfies están prohibidos en el área de conciertos Grandstand, en las butacas frente al escenario de entretenimiento gratuito y en las atracciones de Mighty Midway, Kidway, Adventure Park y cualquier otra atracción. Entonces, si te encantaría tomarte una selfie, tendrás que hacerlo a la antigua.

La Feria Estatal también prohíbe la operación o el uso no autorizado de cualquier vehículo aéreo no tripulado o drone, en o sobre el recinto ferial.

Puedes traer cámaras a la feria, pero está prohibido grabar presentaciones en los escenarios de entretenimiento gratuito. Para las presentaciones Grandstand, no se permite la grabación de audio y video, y las fotografías pueden estar restringidas según el artista.

4) Armas

No se permiten armas ni objetos que parezcan armas. Esto incluye artículos de autodefensa como spray de pimienta, maza y pistolas paralizantes.

5) Bicicletas, patinetas, hoverboards, patines

Puedes traer sus propios medios de transporte personales, como cochecitos, carretas, sillas de ruedas o scooters de movilidad eléctrica, o alquilarlos en HomeTown Mobility desde $20 por día.

La Feria Estatal de Minnesota con poco presupuesto

Estos son nuestros mejores consejos para ahorrar dinero en la feria:

1) Compra entradas por adelantado

Además de poder comprar entradas con descuento antes del día de la inauguración, también puedes obtener entradas para las atracciones y juegos Midway y Kidway al precio más económico si las compras antes de la inauguración.

Los boletos anticipados cuestan $20 por 25 boletos (u 80 centavos por boleto) y están disponibles en juegos de 25 boletos. Durante la feria, las entradas cuestan $1 por entrada individual, $30 por 33 (90,9 centavos por entrada) o $60 por 70 entradas (85,7 centavos por entrada).

2) Se voluntario y obtén entrada gratuita

Las oportunidades de voluntariado incluyen ayudar con fotografías y manualidades en el Alphabet Forest y guiar a los niños a través del proceso agrícola en Kemp Little Farm Hands (¡donde también recibirás una camiseta gratis!).

3) ‘Blue Ribbon Bargain Book’

Puedes comprar uno de esos libros en cualquier sucursal de supermercados Cub o en la misma feria. Los boletos más baratos para Midway y Kidway se pueden encontrar en el libro, a $21 por una Fun Card con 33 boletos (63,3 centavos por boleto), pero ten en cuenta que el cupón es solo para una tarjeta.

Algunos cupones de alimentos y bebidas ofrecen hasta un 50 por ciento de descuento, como $3 de descuento en una limonada de la Minnesota Honey Producers Association de $6 o $5 de descuento en un sándwich frito Monte Cristo frito de $12 en The Sandwich Stop.

4) Trae tu propia comida y bebidas
