Splendid Labor Day forecast; rain chances return mid-week
High pressure overhead leading to sunshine and quiet weather. High temperatures in the 70s to start the week, with some warmer 80s moving in by Wednesday. A cold front Wednesday night will bring our next chance for some scattered showers. A very fall-like cooldown to end the week.
High pressure brings sunshine and 70 degree temperatures through the first half of the work week. A brief warm up into the 80s Wednesday before a strong cold front drops our temperatures into the 60s by Friday.
Sunshine and 70s; rain chances mid-week
A nice stretch of 70 degree temperatures to welcome us into meteorological fall. High pressure will be centered over the Twin Cities for Labor Day. Our next chance for rain comes late Wednesday night.
Clear and quiet Saturday evening. Cooler temperatures for Sunday.
Temperatures overnight will drop into the mid to upper 50s. Dry cold front will continue to push through the metro area and head southeast. Breezy northwest winds behind the front will gradually diminish into the early morning.
 Wildlife stranded from severe weather are turning up in storm debris
The Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is seeing an uptick in the number of injured or stranded animals being dropped off during the aftermath of severe weather, especially for baby squirrels and migratory songbirds.
