During Minnesota’s primary on Aug. 13, voters determined which Democratic and Republican candidates will appear on the ballot for the general election in November. MPR News reached out to all of the candidates in the primary, providing a three-question survey for them to fill out and informing voters about who they are and their priorities if elected. Visit us when early voting begins Sept. 20 for our General Election version of this guide.

The Minnesota House of Representatives District 6B candidates running for the GOP primary election are incumbent Josh Heintzeman and Matthew Zinda. The DFL primary election candidate is Emily LeClaire.
The Minnesota House of Representatives District 7B candidates running for the GOP primary election are Cal Warwas and Matt Matasich. The DFL primary election candidate is Lorrie Janatopoulos. The incumbent representative, Dave Lislegard (DFL) is not running.
The Minnesota House of Representatives District 8A candidate running for the GOP primary election is Mark McGrew. The DFL primary election candidates are Pete Johnson and Jordon Johnson. This seat is currently vacant, previously being held by a DFL representative.
The Minnesota House of Representatives District 8B candidate running for the DFL primary election is the incumbent Alicia Kozlowski. The GOP primary election candidates are Shawn Savela and Tim Meyer.
The Minnesota House of Representatives District 9A candidates running for the GOP primary election are the incumbent Jeff Backer and Boone Carlson. The DFL primary election candidate is Michael Ziomko.
The Minnesota House of Representatives District 10A candidates running for the GOP primary election include incumbent Ron Kresha and Diane Webb-Skillings. The DFL primary election candidate is Julia Hipp.
The Minnesota House of Representatives District 17A candidates running for the GOP primary election are the incumbent Dawn Gillman and Wayne Olson. The DFL primary election candidate is Chad Tschimperle.
The Minnesota House of Representatives District 19B candidates running for the GOP primary election are Tom Sexton and Mick Ditlevson. The DFL primary election candidate is Edel Fernandez Mejia. The seat is currently held by GOP Representative John Petersburg.
The Minnesota House of Representatives District 26B candidates running for the GOP primary election are the incumbent Greg Davids and Gary Steuart. The DFL primary election candidates are Allie Wolf and Eric Leitzen.
