Sprinkles, snow showers northeast; frost statewide Monday night
It finally feels like October with a chilly air mass in place. We’ll see a few sprinkles Monday with some snow showers in northeastern Minnesota. Widespread frost is likely the next two nights.

A blustery fall day is expected, with northwest winds gusting up to 40 mph. Temperatures will stay below average in the mid-50s as we start the week. However, a warming trend is on the horizon, along with promising rain chances.

Reinforcing cold air will arrive Saturday night, cooling us down for several days. Winds will pick up behind the front, with gusts reaching up to 35 mph. Isolated to scattered rain showers possible this weekend.

Expect filtered sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid-60s this Saturday. Rain showers may develop north of Interstate 94 into Sunday. A surge of cooler Canadian air will bring temperatures down to the mid-50s for Sunday.
Although Milton has moved on, at least 8 are dead and millions remain in the dark
Rescue teams are plucking Florida residents from the flotsam of Hurricane Milton after the storm smashed through coastal communities. The storm tore homes into pieces, filled streets with mud and spawned a barrage of deadly tornadoes. At least eight people are dead.
